These are shown on the world map, so move the map around to plan your route. The ones you want are the red and purple icons. Each boss on the map has a specific color. The quest is considered “complete” when you defeat the specific boss enemies detailed in the quest details shown to you before starting the quest. I personally find it just as active as other control modes.ĭid you also know you can use both the Stylus, the slide pad, and/or buttons simultaneously, depending on your dominant hand? It’s called Hybrid style and might help if you struggle with only using the Stylus. I personally like Button mode because I don’t have the dexterity for the Stylus. How do you know if it’s boring if you haven’t tried it? If you’re struggling with the Stylus, it’s possible Button mode can be more comfortable for you. You can also reset levels to raise their CP caps, allowing you to equip more abilities. If you haven’t already, try using the CollectaCard Crystarium to boost stats on your party members. For Quest Medleys, I would recommend having a mix of party-wide stat boosts, healing skills (if you’re struggling), magic, and skills that deal damage to a boss when they appear. But you should look into what skills you have equipped. Use items as much or as little as you want. After that, it will be easier to recognize patterns and come up with solutions to solve them. One song I used a lot was Aerith’s Theme. Try playing some slower songs for practice. A lot of playing Ultimate scores is getting used to the speed. Feels impossible cause all the swipe moves and the hold moves that are so close together. 99 quests to get Black Shards are brutal. I'm like 35 hours in now and so much of this game is shrouded in mystery.Ĭurious how you all play the game? I use stylus mode exclusively but these lv. I don't even understand what all the ticks at the bottom of the screen mean on the song bar.
How do I even know if I'm close to completing a quest successfully? Is it simply defeat the correct boss before the song ends, or is it more complex?
Is it worth the time to invest in button mode just to grind a few Black Shards? Button mode sounds boring. I complete the entire quest without even using any items other than potions and keep failing. I'm running a level 99 party, and adjusting for type of stage I'm playing. I can bang out quests up to level 78 pretty easily, but once you hit 80 game gets real. Curious how you all play the game? I use stylus mode exclusively but these lv.
